See this album and many more at Bad Wolf Photos You have decided to come to Greece for the summer. You got your family/friends gathered at home, looking at brochures and travel guides. Everyone is throwing ideas on the table. Suddenly, someone pops the idea of chartering a yacht.
But, isn’t it expensive, you might ask? Not really, is the answer. The cost of chartering a normal yacht for a week, for 8 people, is approximately the same as booking a hotel for the same number of days and people. The benefits are mobility, freedom (no pesky tour guides yelling for dinner breaks), and the most important of all, a unique experience. Almost everyone has stayed in a nice little Greek hotel, at a nice little Greek island. There is a downside, of course. Sailing, no matter how easy a good yacht makes it, is “rough”. You will get pounded by waves, you will get sprayed with seawater, you will have to cook your own meal. It’s all part of the experience though, and many people find the adventure worth living. Other people hate it, and want to be pampered by nice little Greek people at luxurious hotels. It’s perfectly logical, different people like different things. A rule of thumb, is this: Would you and your companions (friends/family) enjoy spending 7-14 days camping? It’s important that all of them really want to, because one person who is not having fun, can ruin the trip for everyone, and feel bad for himself. If the answer is yes, then you probably can go sailing, instead of a hotel. If even one person finds the whole idea bad, you are better off clicking this: http://www.badwolfhotels.com Lost your way?
